St George’s Family Centre

The brief for Family Centre was to provide a building to develop the facilities of the existing church building in order to ‘better reach out in loving service to the community of Dunborough’.

The building is designed to complete the church courtyard, with a processional and meditative landscape theme connecting the church, the Op Shop and the Family Centre.

Within the 380 sqm are a meeting hall, community care offices, storage,  kitchen and toilets.  Due to the generous funding of Lotterywest, private donations and church fundraising the project commenced in 2013.

Exactly 12 months later it was opened by Rt Rev'd Allan Ewing, Bishop of Bunbury on 2nd November 2014. Since then it has been well utilized by the church and community, with Manna and Mercy serving dinner on Tuesday nights to up to 120 community members.
