St George’s Op Shop

The Op Shop had been operating from the verandah of the existing church, and had to be packed away into container storage after each Op Shop day.

I was asked to design a building to house the Op Shop including storage for the church. However, raising funds for this building would have taken too long, so the Parish council decided to install a shed instead.

I was responsible for selecting the design and materials of the shed, doing layouts of the shop to ensure the space arrangement of the selected shed would be adequate for the function of an Op Shop, and preparing planning application documentation.

I adjusted the window design and metal sheeting pattern, and selected the colours to achieve a more appealing aesthetic.
